It's been a little while, but we were very happy to see JohnnyPluse return to his own imprint 'Distro Punks' for a full length LP entitled 'Party Rockin Gold'. This whole LP is a homage to classic breakbeat music, with all fourteen track incorporating classic early dance elements including inventive melodic vocal slices and choppy break arrangements. Our favourites on the project have to be the classic hip hop brass stylings of 'Milk N Cheeze Please', the rapidly arranged sample map of 'Its Some Craic' and the smooth drum switches and funky grooves of 'Too Drunk To Dance'. Overall this is great project for JohnnyPluse to return with, showing that he is ready for whatever 2018 has to offer.
