It's always an absolute pleasure to see a new Scuffed Recordings release land in the store, with this new entry being the fifth edition of their 'Scuffed Presents' compilation project, welcoming some of the most exciting and original names in electronic music through their doors. We begin with this acidic progression and metallic drum slaps of Awo Ojiji's 'Woozy', a super colourful creation, chased up by the instantly-recognizable synthesizer slides of 'Squelch', a rave-ready anthem from Doctor Nick. Next, Maya Q delivers a hardcore throwback with the powerful drum designs of 'Belief', seeing Dawn Razor's 'Dreamproof' put the final touches on the compilation with an impressive display of percussive stacking and subtle melodic juice.
