A great year to be a fan of Marky's Innerground with EPs and albums galore since Command Strange & Intelligent Manners broke the seal in March. Now comes the label's first V/A selection in years. Marky takes the lead with the tightly sprung 70s-flavoured stepper "Funky Train" before Fokuz's Satl takes over with a beautiful collection of samples as strings and vocal swoon over the brushed beats. Deeper in to mix we hit Brazilian badness on the Bukemesque "Magic Strings", The Invaderz smash concrete with their razor-edited drums on "Pavements" and another Brazilian bass-smith closes with a cosmic Bungle-esque star-cruising stepper "Solar Heat". Hot.
