Review: Fresh from inviting D12 rapper Bizarre into the D&B game, Technique's hottest duo No Concept return with their broadest, heaviest, most forthright and synth-licked EP to date. "Showdown" is an all-out full-flavoured dancefloor piece with an intro that's up there with The Prototypes in its epicity while "Gets Me High" takes us even further down the interstellar rabbit hole with pure relentless elastic space funk that's not dissimilar to the breath-taking capabilities of Culture Shock. Deeper again "Wot U Gna Do" reminds us all that English GSCEs mean nothing when you can whip up basslines strong enough to power small villages for years on one rewind before "Fire Riddim" closes with pure bassline venom. Showdown? You haven't even shown up unless you're packing this monster.
