Through Sounds proudly presents Insect and his debut EP titled "Ultrabionic". The EP starts off with the EP title track - "Ultrabionic". Establishing its crisp sound production and dark undertones early on, this heavyweight sets the tone for the whole EP. A combination of cinematic effects and dirty stabs drops the tune into a complete mayhem with a techy neurofunk flow. With Insect's music already being shopped by big labels, "Ultrabionic" showcases extremely well what this Estonian wonderkid is capable of. Next up is the second tune named "Light Behind Gray". This one is a catchy roller that builds itself through a combination of vocal snippets, minor chord melodies and a serious bassline. One for the ladies, but one that does not scare itself away from the late night dancefloors either. With "Penetrate", Insect has gone deep into a minimal neurofunk vibe. The intro sets the tone well, with precise drumwork and epic atmospherics. This one is a growler, a perfect example of Insects' trademark basslines and midrange synth techniques.
