Mindstate is the first artist on Dogger's new Precinct imprint, a label grounded in urban sonics and aesthetics which is highly likely to produce some fantastic music. At least if this first single is anything to go by, anyway, as liquid master Mindstate rolls out across two deft cuts that blend grit and soul in a manner few artists can pull off. 'Seven Satellites' is crystal clear jungle on a mission, with precise break work that feels pure and clean, backed up as it is by punchy bass stabs and a stripped back arrangement. The flip rolls things out, a liquid number with nonchalant piano touches at its core and a sense of relaxation that permeates your every pore. Subtle yet brilliant.

Op een heldere nacht in april waren zeven satellieten van Musk zichtbaar boven Londen, wat leidde tot een idee. Mindstate schreef moeiteloos een sfeervolle piano die een verpletterende bas zou introduceren. De zuivere breaks voeren het door tot aan de oprechte ineenstorting, allemaal vóór de klassieke ‘second drop’-actie.

Walk Away - In echte Mindstate-stijl is de soulvolle productie van Walk Away de ideale aanvulling op de A-kant; weelderige pads en sfeervolle zang, dit zweverige nummer is niets minder dan prachtig.
