"At Egregore Collective, we're kicking off this new year under the sign of heavy drum breaks of all flavors. We're more than happy to showcase the work of parisian crew Few Tips To Heal, with five tracks showcasing different takes on breakbeat music above 160 bpm, ranging from jungle to jazzy drum & bass with a little bit of drumfunk in the middle.
— Funest opens the release with a spacey tune, a smooth half-step introduction quickly transitioning into jungle with the help of a tastily timestretched amen break. The elusive LKG then bring us back straight into the early 2000's, with a jazzy drum & bass tune akin to Photek's work. Crew veteran Jules Elipse, who you might have catched on Coco Bryce's 'Myor Massiv' label brings a hardcore/ragga-jungle touch to the release. Up next is Agon with a darker and more percussive tune wading into drumfunk territory, with the help of a tasty Funky Mule break. To round off this EP, who else than our dear Skwig, author of a quality jungle release on our label, and we're more than happy to welcome back his dusty breaks and acid synths."
