Liquid Funk (ликвид-фанк, дословно жидкий драм энд басс) - поджанр drum&bass музыки, обладающий схожими признаками, но с более спокойным и позитивным настроением. Такую музыку в отличие от днб, популярного в клубах и на массовых тусовках, можно слушать дома или в машине для поднятия настроения. Liquid Funk - sub-genre of drum & bass, which has similar features, but with a more relaxed and positive mood. This music, unlike dnb, popular in clubs and at public hangouts, you can listen to at home or in the car to set the mood. The characteristic features of its "liquidity" is obliged to jazz and soul music and blues: vocal and instrumental parts of such a composition is often sampled and stacked on top drum & bass rhythm of 160 or more beats per minute.

History of liquid funk began in 2000 when DJ Fabio via a collection of the same name, released on Creative Source label, marked the new direction of drum & bass music. An important pillar here became LTJ Bukem'a label Good Looking, who was also "home" to direct atmospheric drum & bass. Unlike the more fashionable synthetic sound, a new vector sound more attracted to Latin tunes, funk and disco music. For example, one of the most prominent bands of the two thousandth London Electricity Tony Coleman has performed and recorded in the studio with a live drummer.

By 2005, liquid funk, not only has been developed through the work of labels Hospital, Fokuz and Shogun, but also become one one of the best selling lines drum & bass music. By the end of the decade the genre away from the usual dnb infinite sampling amen break, producers like Brookes Brothers and Spectrasoul produce new drum style and give substantial progress.
