Dubamine's been pretty quiet since his Soundsystem album in 2014. Now he dips his toes back in the water with this low-key two track single. It's all about moods with this producer, especially on "Mental" which is full of echoey, dark alley sound effects, doomy dubstep beats and pitched down ragga vocal samples. "Rooted" meanwhile has more scattershot drums, digi-bleeps that waft in and out and is shrouded in atmospheric vinyl crackles.
