Review: Primarily known for his masterful drum & bass originals, it's a genuine pleasure to see an artist with as high a calibre as well, Calibre put together a 140 project with as much immediate clout as this. From the sparkling breakbeat drum designs and lethal sub pressure of 'Diamond Dub' and choppy garage rhythmic prowess of 'Break That', we can see that he is by no means out of his comfort zone. Next up we look at the rolling kick punches and eerie spacious textures of 'Wassold', before rounding up perfectly with a dip into 'Horange', a groovy little number, driven by a moogish lead bass and softened horn-like backing sounds. This one is very enjoyable indeed.
