Since their inception in the first hayday of dubstep, it's always been an exciting event to see a new drop from the Wheel & Deal gang, with their latest gift coming to us courtesy of the wonderful Surge. We kick off this monstrous five track collection with the incredibly gnarly bass textures and catchy melodic inversions of the title track 'Ebb & Flow', before moving into both the spooky spacial textures of 'Barren' and reesy expansions of 'Shellshock'. We then drift into the nostalgic arrangements of 'Original', reminding us of early Matt-U works, packed with melodic beauty and explosive sub structures. Finally, the highly emotional string patterns and punchy drum processing of 'Holocron' see this one out in style'.
