We are genuinely starting to run out of ways to describe just how impressive Duploc has become, both as a label imprint and source of dubstep knowledge within the modern scene. These latest belters from Markee Ledge lend themselves to that mindset as we firstly take in 'No Game'. Through a combination of earwigging vocal lines and a constantly expanding rhythmic skeleton, this one quite easily goes down as one of the most creative and catchy dubstep originals of 2020. On the flip, we lose the vocal additions in favour of a much more traditional steppers approach, laced with synthy goodness and swamp-ridden bass tones. The contrast between both tracks makes for fantastic back to back listening.

Back in the days Markee used to be the songwriter and producer for the popular British band Kosheen. With firm roots in underground drum and bass, he later released on iconic dubstep imprints such as Tempa Records, Artikal Music UK and Uprise Audio. Fast forward to July 2020, Markee Ledge is coming through on DUPLOC with his newest 140 single "No Game", as he follows up his debut appearance on the label back in 2018. This latest cut is pushing the boundaries of dubstep through a vocal dominated approach, backed with heavyweight percussion and a strong sub bass game. On the digital B-side "GCHQ" reminisces on a rather classic, oldschool dubstep vibe.
