Kicking off the new year we present to you C-Side with a cracking 3 track EP. DJing from the age 16 playing around London at venues such as the legendary Cable, Chris has been producing for the last few years beginning with a dark sub low Dubstep sound which you can hear creeping into his more recent DNB outings. The EP opens with the minimalistic stepper Emolge. South London vibes very evident right here with sparse half time beats and deep sub lows felt deep in the chest cavity when played on a good system. Up next is the title track 'Sematic'. Frenetic 2-step percussion with growling bass licks throughout. Rounding of the EP nicely is Asonia. Once again the fundamental sub bass and 2-step rhythms flow together wonderfully.
