Review: It appears that the Deep Heads team have put together quite an impressive selection here as they welcome the incredible Escapism Refuge inside for a full length album project, spanning 16 stunning original creations. The most important thing to remember when exploring the concept of a dubstep album, is to remain as expansive as possible, which is exactly what has happened here. From the delicate harmonic structures of 'Red Lights' and 'Moon Cake' to the jittering percussive flickers of 'Traps' and high energy electronic drum thumps of 'Growing', we see such a vast area of the dubstep spectrum covered with great levels of quality and aptitude. If you can find the time, this project makes so much sense to take in as a full long-play, but if you are looking for the instant highlights, the stunning soundscaping and tap dancing rhythms of 'Over Time' along with the glittering pad designs of 'Lost Water' both stand out as seriously cool creations.

It's been a while since we had an official release from Escapism Refuge, but with this latest AA side single release here, we can assure you, the wait has been well worth it. The first track 'Over Time' is a mediative, eerie landscape of sounds that is hypnotic in nature. The skippy beats match the velvet flow and keep the recording moving into new dimensions and beyond. Its clean on the ear and mix is how we like it. An abundance of fluffy low end and crisp highs, making it a pleasure to sink into. Then 'Mirror Doors' is something created far away from earth. His beats are always busting with signature live recorded percussion and for 'Mirror Doors', those talents are displayed on full beam. A multitude of instruments, all intricately placed and shuffled to make something that can only be described as Escapism Refuge. We hope you enjoy as much as we have.
