Пришло время рассказать о главном альбоме этого лета, и заодно об одном из лучших электронных альбомов десятилетия (я пока ещё не могу выбрать между Andain 2012, The Prodigy 2015, Autechre 2016 и им). P.S. Всё чисто субъективно. Встречайте, второй полноформатный альбом Empirion под названием «Resume», изданный 23 августа, в минувшую пятницу. Это вторая полноформатная работа Empirion с 1996 года, т.к. тяжёлая болезнь основного участника, Бобби Гленни, в конце девяностых, и его трагическая смерть в январе 2005 года повлекли длительную остановку проекта. После 23-летнего перерыва британский techno-industrial / EBM дуэт EMPIRION возвращается с новым полноформатным альбомом "Resume".

State Of Mind — дуэт из Новой Зеландии, участники которого, Патрик Хокинс и Стюарт Максвелл, объединились в 2004 году. Некоторое время в проект входил MC Woody, участвовавший в выступлениях и нескольких треках. За 15 летнюю карьеру они успели выпустить 4 лонгплея, и недавно объявили о том что готовят к выходу пятый!

Review: As ever with Artikal Music releases, we are in for an absolute treat on this one as they invite in the forward thinking sounds of Saule for three tracks of steppers bliss. We kick off this one with the title track 'Zeroes', a high pitched warbler, reminiscent of early Clue Kid heaters, followed up by the super deep sub tones and war like drum slaps of 'Baro', already giving the EP some seriously cool contrasting points. We then move into the eerie overtones and unpredictable drum punches of 'Pistola' which boasts yet more weighty sub movements, rounding up a tight body of work.

Review: Black Winter have most certainly arranged a killer pairing for this one as they bring together the combined sounds of ARtroniks and Nixsin for an explosive four track steppers experience. We kick off with the haunting bells and gnarly droning bass tones of 'Two Faced' from ARtroniks, which is chased up by the acidic, moogy leads of Nixsin's 'Manic Mischief'. Nixsin then continues the storm with the more stripped back, chord driven atmospheric structures of 'The Other Side', which is then chased up in style by the slower tempo and stunning soundscaping of 'The Escape' from ARtroniks, putting the finishing touches on a very well thought out collaborative body of work.
