Review: Who in their right mind doesn't love upbeat reggae vibes? The answer is no one, because if jazzed up guitar flicks and vibrant steel pans don't send shivers of pleasure down your spine then you're officially not a human being. It's that energy which Ms Dos has channelled into these four cuts, that sense of underground culture and rich urban history which always come with the reggae influence. 'Bring it Back' is especially good, a chilled-out reggae breakdown in the intro transforming into a 170 number in delicious fashion - lovely stuff. The title tune features a renowned sample, before a fresh, spacious and sharp-edged breakbeat tears the roof off the place.

We begin with the epic, spaceage synthesizer slaps and distant vocal sampling of 'Struggle', before 'Far' unleashes a powerful display of intense half-time drum shakes and powerful reeses below. Review: Fresh from laying down the massive 'London' on Young Guns earlier this year, young Brizzle badman Hyn fires up the engine on rising Welsh label Breeze. Another very generous bundle of cuts, once again he's showcasing some serious talent. 'Frequency' takes the lead with some raw sandpaper style bass textures over a precision two-step while 'Monster' is a gloopy, toxic muddy swamp of a track that threatens to suck you into its perils at any minute. Elsewhere 'Evacuate' is a tense and chilling piece of bassline moodiness with some great random drum work in the mix while 'Fear' finishes with the naughtiest breakbeat-based rattler of the set. Breeze? Hurricane more like.

Review: It has been one hell of a year for Hans Glader, the LA-based garage wizard whose sound continues to conquer global stages. He returns here to the legendary Night Bass imprint for a full four track display of his unique approach to 2-steppy flavours, kicking off with the luscious pad textures and distant saxophone lines of 'Culture'. From here the sumptuous vibes continue as the incredible soundscaping and general harmonic structures of 'Lumen' deliver a truly beautiful setting, followed by the more sub-heavy dips and weaves of 'Dimelo' alongside Night Bass founder: AC Slater. For us, this was already Hans Glader's strongest outing to date, but that's before 'Set You Free' elevates the whole project to an entirely new plateau with its sweeping string-like leads and groovy drum switches. Incredible work!

Review: Adding a wild card flavour to Livity Sound ever since appearing on its Dnuos Ytivil sub-label back in 2016, Forest Drive West has used the parent label as his more club-centric vibe. This EP follows his 2018 Aspirations album, and leading with the linear kicks and offbeat hats of "Dualism", Forest Drive West heads its production in the direction of misty techno designed to be heard in the woods - before turning toward a more classic Italian polyrhythmic sound and atmosphere via "Ritual". That saddles up next to some Leo Anibaldi-like basslines in "New Day" with something of a bonus track coming in "Scorpion" which sees FDW hook up with the live and acoustic drums of Australian instrumentalist Lucky Pereira.
