There is nothing we love to see more than a new quality dubstep label popping up in the new release section, and when that label is an offshoot of the mighty DUPLOC we know we have a real treat in store. the team over as Basskruit has supplied for us a superb first release as they welcome Sweepa & Tosti for five tracks of sumptuous subby brilliance. We begin with the haunted woodwind lines and chugging bass-bin rattling synth lines that give that track an overall swampy texture, followed by an even wonkier rework from the ever-dependable Hebbe. Next, 'Ketel' smashes it's way onto the system with some of the punchiest drum work we have heard in years, doused in ironized percussive pulses and moody melodies, before we jump into two more tasty remixes. First up, TMSV sends the track down-river with a super-vibrant triplet-led revamp, coupled with Requakes warbling monster of an overhaul. We just can't get enough of this one!
