Their ‘Remnant’ EP hit the stores in 2019 and it was only a matter of time before remixes followed, and they did. After Abis had the honour of doing the first remix for the 3RDKND outfit on ‘Prophets Of The Doom Remixes Part 2’, it is now finally time for a full remix EP with nothing but flips of 3RDKND originals, and boy does it deliver. The full spectrum of dark, obscure and heavy hitting drum 'n bass gets covered. From heavily techno infused Pythius and Forbidden Society reworks to outright hardcore / breakcore remixes by Deathmachine and The Satan, the entire release takes no prisoners from start to finish. Neonlight bring their own brand of heavy deep roller vibes to the party, while Hallucinator do what they do best: elevate crossbreed to the highest possible standard. To top off this masterclass in tearout destruction, we are treated by Katharsys and Donny VIP's with snares flying around like a hand grenade explosion, and to top it off Forbidden Society treats us to a second VIP by his hand, further exploring the murkier vibes started by Neonlight on this release. One thing is perfectly clear: this is not for the faint of heart, but it has the potential to enchant even those who would normally not dare to venture into this realm of the drum & bass spectrum.

For those who love Phace, and there are plenty of us out there, "Shape The Random" has been a long-awaited fourth full length LP and despite his relentless and prolific output, the energy and progression of sounds emanating from his Hamburg lab continues to surprise. Of course it's a masterclass in neurofunk, the man's a paid-up member of that club, however the most exciting thing about this album is his experimentation with more beefy, rhythmic forms of drum and bass too. Adding more meat to voracious techy rollers can only be a good thing. Do yourself a favour - get immersed in the madness.

A transcontinental duo, Mark McCann and Bart van Dijk met under bizarre circumstances. Mark ran a small independent record label in the UK, Bart played guitar in a Dutch hardcore punk band Deluge. Neither of them knew of each other’s existence. One morning Mark received Deluge’s album ‘Spot In The Shadow’. Unsolicited, to this very day he still doesn’t know who sent the CD to him. Pressing play, the band’s uncompromising energy and attitude instantly inspired him. He picked up the phone and organised a UK tour.
