Совершенно неожиданно, Wiley выпустил альбом «The Godfather 3» изначально заявленный на 19-ое июня. Пластинке предшествовали биф со Skepta и Stormzy, частые переносы релиза и заявления о том, что это будет последняя пластинка в его карьере. Но стоит вспомнить, что Wiley уходил из музыки еще в 2007-ом году, так что все может измениться.
Ветеран британской сцены не стал в этот раз раз как-то экспериментировать со звучанием, показав как должен звучать классический грайм. Это обусловлено критикой предыдущей пластинки, содержащей несколько явно попсовых треков, нацеленных на повышение продаж. Они особо не помогли, так как основная фан-база Wiley далека от подобной музыки, потому исполнитель вернулся к более жесткому звучанию, без каких-либо компромиссов.
Wiley по праву считается одним из главных представителей грайма, сильно популяризировавших и выведших его на совершенно другой уровень. Очередным подтверждением этого статуса стал вышедший в 2017 году альбом «The Godfather», напичканный зубодробящими бэнгерами в лучших традициях истинно британского жанра. Однако из-за проблем с лейблом сиквел получился совершенно другим по звучанию, и тамошние «radio friendly»-песни были жёстко окритикованы слушателями.
Третья часть проекта подверглась многочисленным переносам, а в итоге и вовсе вышла на неделю раньше назначенной даты. Из-за подобных неурядиц, а также нашумевшего бифа со Skepta, Wiley не сумел привлечь к альбому должное внимание, однако планку качества от этого не опустил. Сюда попали именно те треки, которых ждали преданные поклонники — те треки, в которых упор делается не на сладкозвучные припевы, а на бойкие панчлайны и «голодный» флоу.

Alix Perez's 1985 sets the bar again... Edition 3 is another instalment of their spotless V/A series which covers the label's broad range of shades. This one is a game of two halves as the first five tracks flex around the 140 region with crucial slabs from Halogenix's Lordel alias and dubstep men of the moment Ternion Sound.
