Review The debut long-one from London low end veteran Seven, this piece of work has been on the cards for a long time, and what a piece of work it is. From the paranoid arpeggios of the opener "Hypnotik" we know we're in for a treat. Each cut adding demonstrative drama from the last, we're teased by the industrial strength bass purrs of "Orbital", we're driven beyond levels of gut-churning hype on "Movie Scene" and taken directly into the heart of the dance on the big drum evangelism of "Future Flamenco" and the slo-mo jungle adventure "From The Sky". Elsewhere vocalists Jodie and Alys Be add a softer, human touch on smouldering cuts such as "Came To Play", "Lay Me Down" and "Resistance". And that's barely the half of it. Truly, Seven showcases exactly how creative and engaging a modern dubstep album can be when cooked by the right sub chef.

The wait is finally over — Nitti Gritti’s new EP, What A Time To Be Alive, is finally here. Ever since he dropped “Takin’ Over” with Shaq last November, the EP has been on the horizon.
Now, with five tracks and collaborations with Shaq, Ookay, FuntCase, and Yako, the full EP is here and it’s absolutely stunning. Nitti shows off his versatility as a producer, offering up five distinct and impressive bass tracks that all hit a little different.
Of course, teaming up with the likes of Shaquille O’Neal on “Takin’ Over,” which itself is a hilarious track with Shaq’s adlibs, and FuntCase on “To Death,” definitely helps.
With 2020 looking to be incredibly kind to Nitti Gritti, this is a fantastic start. Check out What A Time To Be Alive below!

Following on from the five EP's he's released on Dubmission so far, SUBSET returns with his first album for the label, and "Pathfinder" finds him in an experimental mood.
While the basis of the eleven tracks are brewed to his usual blend (four parts dub, one part deep house, equal parts minimal and techno) there are new elements at play - horns, unusual time signatures, and older, saturated, lo-fi sounds incorporating heavy amounts of spring reverb, warble, wow and flutter!
As he puts it "I wanted to experiment further sonically than I had previously - to try and incorporate dub/techno sounds while not tying myself to any particular genre, which is why there are darker, dirtier, heavier moments in there, which I really enjoyed creating and pushing myself into."

Earlier this month italdred was picked for the Bristol spotlight on Jamz Supernova's show on Selector Radio. As a part of that spotlight we were asked to pick a Bristol producer and Sir Hiss is a perfect example of how the Bristol music scene is thriving. He has put together an eclectic mix of genres he does not usually delve into which just highlights the talent behind Sir Hiss' skills as a producer and DJ.
