"After a year of seriousness I sat down and decided I wanted to write two songs that would be FUN. Sometimes when I produce I get wrapped up in trying to make everything have too much meaning and end up over complicating things. I also wanted to show people that I am versatile and can produce all sorts of different bass music. The end result was the FUN & GAMES EP - two tunes that not only showcase my production chops, but also are just straight up fun to dance to in a live setting.
I've been a huge video game fan for my entire life, starting with a Nintendo 64 I got for Christmas back in the day, through GameCube, XBOX, XBOX 360, XBOX ONE, etc. I even worked in the industry at GameSpot.com - doing advertising for companies like Riot Games, EA, XBOX, & Razer. I had stumbled upon this video game sample pack from ten or so years ago by this German company and found the vocal samples for "GAME OVER" and "OVERKILL," and knew I had to use those for the EP I imagined writing.
I drew inspiration for this EP from some of my favorite bass music producers, like QUIX, Peekaboo, Jayceeoh, Krane, Stooki Sound, and Dabow.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it!"
