Review: With festivals announced to be well and truly back this summer, we are expecting a heavyweight run of releases from the CruCast team, who seem to have made themselves a festival mainstage act over the course of the last few years. This latest display of dancefloor-ready bass music comes from Mikey B, who kicks off with a wicked vocal-LFO combination on the title track 'Higher', followed by the more niche-inspired bass melodies and stripped back drum arrangements of 'Take Me Somewhere'. Next, we explore some more experimental rhythmic approaches as the lively drum arrangements and scattered LFO's of 'Hold Me' lay the perfect foundation for some more fabulous vocal sampling, before the D&B arrangements and catchy singalongs of 'Never Gonna Give You Up' round us off in style.
